Taking advantage of each company’s expertise, the partnership will focus on providing strategic financial advisory for global clients. It will capitalize on shared experience of emerging markets and long-established relations across Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Eastern Europe.
The founder and Chairman of Centurion Capital, Mr. Richard Waryn has joined TGSV’s advisory board with extensive experience in international private equity, corporate finance and consulting. Mr. Waryn has 17 years of emerging markets private equity experience and has raised more than US$3 billion for 6 funds covering Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, and the CIS. Previously, Mr. Waryn was a Managing Director of Dubai Capital Group’s private equity activities in the CIS Region. He was also a co-founder of several successful emerging market fund managers including Troika Capital Partners targeting private equity investments in Russia (together with Temasek Group from Singapore) and Centurion Capital targeting private equity investments in Central Europe. At Emerging Markets Partnership (EMP), he helped launch the US$1.1 billion AIG Asian Infrastructure Fund in 1994, the world’s largest emerging market private equity fund at the time.
